There’s a lot of time and effort involved in searching for
and digging out data. Let’s face it – statistics are not
everyone’s cup of tea!
Successful searching for information on the Internet takes a
deal of patience, perseverance and creativity.
You need:
-
Patience
because sometimes looking for information on
the Web can be like searching for a needle in a
haystack;
-
Perseverance
because there are billions of Web pages in
cyberspace, so finding specific information can be long
and drawn out; and
-
Creativity
because people think in various ways, so use
several ways to pose a question, to locate the piece of
information you want.
The
Internet has brought a great wealth of knowledge to the
world. It gives people the ability to exchange ideas,
express themselves, and access information from thousands of
miles away. There’s great treasure but there's also some
real "rubbish" out there, eg in business
opportunities from home.
